Wembley Final Up for Grabs at Grass Roots Football Show

Wed 4th May 2011 | Football Industry Events

The brmb Grass Roots Football Show will play host to the Birmingham heat of the National Street Soccer Showdown 2011.

The regional heat will take place at the brmb Grass Roots Football Show at the NEC in Birmingham from the 3-5 June.

Street Soccer is a unique form of football which blends upbeat music with a focus on individual creative skills. The competitions organisers, StreetWise Soccer, have been touring the UK over the last six months searching for the country’s best Street Soccer talent using inflatable pitches and skills cages.

The regional winners of the 3 versus 3 short sided competition will get the chance to be named the UK National Champions at the Grand Final at Powerleague Wembley City in July.

Entry will be open to all attendees at this year’s show and Errea Republic, the street wear brand of Italian sports clothing brand Errea, will be sponsoring the event at the NEC.

Joanna Burns, Director of the brmb Grass Roots Football Show, said; “We are looking for Birmingham and the Midland’s best 3 a side street soccer side to represent the area at the Wembley final in July.

“This is a huge tournament and we are delighted to be hosting the Birmingham heat at this year’s brmb Grass Roots Football Show.

“The best street soccer talent from across the Midland’s will be battling it out for a place in the Wembley final.”

Kevin Tasker, Director of StreetWise Soccer, said “We are delighted to be part of the brmb Grass Roots Football Show 2011; it is the perfect platform to showcase exactly what street soccer is all about and the benefits that come along with this new, exciting and revolutionary version of the game.”

The brmb Grass Roots Football Show 2011 is the biggest football event of its kind in Europe and takes place at the NEC in Birmingham between the 3-5 of June.

With more skills, more coaching sessions, more tactics, more interaction and more of the biggest stars in the game including Robbie Savage, Graham Taylor, Chris Coleman, Chris Hughton, Iain Dowie, Dion Dublin, Peter Taylor and Tosh Farrell - the brmb Grass Roots Football Show is this year’s must attend football event.

Tickets – priced at £15 for adults and £7.50 for children under 16 - gives you exclusive access to all three days of the must attend football event this summer and they are now on sale at www.grassrootsfootball.co.uk
