Chelsea FC and Bet365 leaders join football debate

Tue 19th Jul 2011 | Football Industry Events

Peter Coates, the respected owner of Premier League Club Stoke City as well as one of the fastest growing betting brands Bet365, and Bruce Buck, the highly regarded Chairman of Chelsea FC, are confirmed speakers at the 4thLeaders in Football conference taking place at Chelsea FC on 5th and 6th October 2011.

The conference is building up to be the best yet with Coates and Buck joining a number of other high profile speakers including FIFA Executive Committee members, Dr Michel D’Hooghe and Jim Boyce; the independent Chairman of The Football Association, David Bernstein; former Prime Minister of Belgium and now Chairman of the UEFA Financial Fair Play Panel, Jean Luc Dehaene; and Chairman of the Football League Greg Clarke.

Coates started Bet365 back in 2000 with 3 betting shops and has since built the business to be one of the global players in both the betting and e-gaming industries.  He is now listed as the 25th richest person in British Football and, under his reign, the club has returned to top flight football, reaching the FA Cup Final earlier this year.

Buck is the man who headed Roman Abramovich’s £140 million acquisition of Chelsea back in 2003 and will provide his insight on the Financial Fair Play system alongside Jean Luc Dehaene and Greg Clarke.

Leaders in Football takes place within the Leaders Sports Summit, a coming together of 5 leading conferences including Sponsorship, Digital Sport, Performance and the business of Horse Racing, over 5th and 6th October at Chelsea FC.  For more information visit www.leadersinevents.com, contact enquiry@leadersinevents.com or call +44 (0) 207 042 8666.
