Tue 6th Sep 2011 | Football Industry Events

UEFA General Secretary, Gianni Infantino, is the latest high profile signing to be announced for the 4th annual Leaders in Football conference on the 5th and 6th October 2011.

In an exclusive in depth interview, Infantino will address some of the big issues addressing European football such as integrity of matches or financial FairPlay but also will have a special focus on UEFA's plans to develop National Team football in the future.

Infantino joined UEFA in August 2000 working on a range of legal, commercial and professional matters before being appointed Director of UEFA's Governance and Club Licensing Division in January 2004.  He quickly moved up the organisation to become interim Chief Executive and Deputy General Secretary before being appointed General Secretary in October 2009. In his role as General Secretary he is responsible for the organisation, management and direction of the UEFA administration.

Infantino is a part of a very special line up of world figures in football addressing 1,000 director level delegates from Clubs, Leagues, federations and brands from around 45 countries and over 180 international media.  These include FIFA Executive Committee members, Dr Michel D’Hooghe and Jim Boyce; Chairman of Chelsea FC, Bruce Buck; the independent Chairman of The Football Association, David Bernstein; former Prime Minister of Belgium and now Chairman of the UEFA Financial Fair Play Panel, Jean-Luc Dehaene; Owner of Stoke City FC and Bet 365, Peter Coates; Chairman of Sunderland AFC, Niall Quinn; Jamie Carragher, Vice-Captain, Liverpool FC; Pierluigi Collina, former World Cup Referee and Member, UEFA Referees Committee; and Chairman of the Football League Greg Clarke.

Leaders in Football in now very close to sell out and takes place within the Leaders Sports Summit, a coming together of 5 leading conferences including Sponsorship, Digital Sport, Performance and the business of Horse Racing, over 5th and 6th October at Chelsea FC.  For more information visit www.leadersinevents.com, contact enquiry@leadersinevents.com or call +44 (0) 207 042 8666.
