Yeovil Town's stadium plans given public exhibition

Wed 16th Nov 2011 | Football Stadiums & Facilities

Supporters and residents in Yeovil are being invited to a public exhibition to view proposals that would introduce an exciting new quality food store at Huish Park, which will enable the future success of Yeovil Town Football Club.

The club's board will welcome supporters and the local community to the exhibition in the Alec Stock Lounge at Huish Park on Friday 25 November, between 11am and 7pm, and Saturday 26 November, between 11am and 5pm. The exhibition will provide an opportunity for all interested parties to discuss the proposals with the project team while also providing feedback.

There will be an additional opportunity for supporters to attend the exhibition and meet club officials on Sunday 27th November between 11am and 3 pm.

John Fry, Chairman of Yeovil Town FC, said: "The public exhibition provides supporters and everyone in the local community with the chance to learn more about the proposals for this exciting development at Huish Park.

"Members of the team behind the proposals, including the architect will be on hand at the exhibition to answer any questions, address any concerns and to talk through the details of the scheme."

John continued: "Yeovil Town FC is an important economic driver in the South West region and we are embarking on this project to ensure that the club has the resources and facilities on site to continue to compete in the Football League. By developing the area around the stadium we have the opportunity to bring investment to the club and the area."

Committed to progressing the plans in a positive and collaborative manner, the club is keen to obtain feedback from the local community ahead of the plans being formally submitted to South Somerset District Council.
