Fashion Kicks the ‘Official Charity Partner’ of the Soccerex European Forum

Mon 5th Mar 2012 | Football Industry Events

Soccerex are delighted to announce Fashion Kicks as the official charity partner of the European Forum taking place in Manchester, 28-29 March.  The pairing comes after Soccerex were impressed with the way Fashion Kicks fuses fashion with football to raise money for worthy causes including Macmillan Cancer Support.

Republic of Ireland and Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given and his wife Jane are the brains behind the fundraising event and since they launched Fashion Kicks in 2004 have managed to raise over 1 million pounds for charities close to their hearts.

‘We are extremely proud to partner such a worthwhile cause; Fashion Kicks has had a significant impact on the lives of many and this partnership can help expand their reach and contribute to the great work they are doing in the community,’ said Soccerex CEO Duncan Revie.

Delegates attending this year’s Soccerex European Forum can learn more about Fashion Kicks by visiting them in the main exhibition at stand 122.

As well as the packed exhibition delegates visiting the European Forum can also benefit from a comprehensive seminar line-up with sessions on UEFA’s centralisation of media rights, player and coach development, a one-to-one presentation by Rafael Benitez on the art of management, betting in football, the effects of financial fair play on ownership, the tricky business of managing England presented by Terry Venables, football and the media and, the Soccerex Supplement, a session with some of the game’s biggest names.

There will be a series of workshops dedicated to stadia, emerging markets, the EPFL and commercial opportunities for rights holders. Delegates will also benefit from a host of informal and formal networking opportunities for delegates to maximise the business opportunities available and enjoy the unique atmosphere Soccerex events create.
