Fri 16th Mar 2012 | Football Industry Events

The Soccerex European Forum, 28-29 March, Manchester, will include a special session on France 2016 stadia projects hosted by European Stadium & Safety Management Association (ESSMA).

The session will include exclusive presentations from representatives of four major stadia projects from the European Championships. It will be moderated by ESSMA board member, Stephane Pottier of Lagardere Unlimited Stadium Solutions, who is involved with seven of stadium projects for the tournament.

Commenting on the event, Stephane Pottier said “I think the Soccerex European Forum has proven itself in providing an important platform for our members to engage with the football industry, and I’m sure this year will be the same.”

ESSMA will be bringing over 50 members including senior figures from the Emirates Stadium, Millennium Stadium, DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga, Euro 2016TM, Espanyol Barcelona, Aviva Stadium, Donbass Arena, Sonarges and stadium partners Philips, Desso Sports Systems, Bertele, Terraplas to the Forum.

Further to this session Stadia companies will also get the chance to meet all other members of the association, as ESSMA is holding its board meeting at the European Forum.

Over 1500 delegates are expected to attend this year’s Soccerex European Forum where they will benefit from exclusive business opportunities via a packed exhibition and a number of formal and informal networking events.  There will also be a packed conference programme addressing some the key issues affecting the industry including sessions on UEFA’s move to centralise media rights, player and coach development, the art of management – a master-class with Rafael Benitez, betting, the tricky business of managing England with Terry Venables, financial management of clubs in the wake of financial fair play, the relationship between football and the media, and the Soccerex Supplement, a session with some of football’s biggest names. There will also be workshops on emerging markets, the stadia industry, commercial opportunities for clubs and the EPFL. The Event Venue Management Institute, EVMI, organizes its yearly annual meeting at the European Forum.
