Thu 22nd Mar 2012 | Football Industry Events

Soccerex are pleased to announce that their exciting Workshop line-up at the Soccerex European Forum, 28-29 March 2012, is now complete with the addition of leading companies Stream UK, Bosch Communications Systems and Lockton.

These Workshop sessions run alongside the main conference sessions and offer a vital opportunity to hear from industry specialists. Stream UK will be hosting the session “A fan engaging formula: The secrets behind successful online football video.” which will include speakers from their partners Liverpool FC, with whom they revamped the club’s online video offering, an offering which now claims to be the most successful online video subscription service of any football club in the world.

Stream UK CEO Duncan Burbidge will talk on what Stream UK call “Tribal Technology”, as well as exploring the Liverpool FC online video offering with Paul Rogers, Head of Content at Liverpool FC and Matthew Quinn, Digital Systems Coordinator at Liverpool FC and demonstrating its interactive, social and integrated technology.

Taking place on day two of the event, a session hosted by Bosch Communications Systems with its brands Dynacord and Electro-Voice will feature detailed presentations and discussions on key new sound system technologies.

Titled “Improving Your Events Through Stadium Sound Systems” and being led by Oliver Sahm, Director of Tech, Support ProAudio EMEA, Bosch Communications Systems, this session will cover the improvement of football events through ProSound and life standard conform solutions as a comprehensive One-Stop-Shop approach.

Lockton, the world’s largest, privately owned independent insurance broker and risk management specialist are holding a special session titled “The Rise of the Internet, Does Privacy Still Exist?”

Lockton Partner Ben Beeson, will look at the risks to individuals from new technologies such as online social networking and the potential impacts on organisations in the football industry, expanding on how the commercial insurance market has responded to these emerging risks.

In addition to Workshops, the European Forum conference agenda will feature sessions on UEFA’s move to centralise media rights, player and coach development, the art of management – a master-class with Rafael Benitez, betting, the tricky business of managing England with Terry Venables, financial management of clubs, the relationship between football and the media, and will finish with the Soccerex Supplement, a session with some of football’s biggest names.

Over 1600 delegates are expected to attend this year’s Soccerex European Forum where they will benefit from exclusive business opportunities via a packed exhibition and a number of formal and informal networking events.
