Liverpool FCs Matthew Quinn joins StreamUK

Liverpool FC’s Digital Systems Coordinator Matthew Quinn has left the club after a prestigious 11 years to join the online video specialist StreamUK.

Quinn played a key role in revamping LFC’s online video subscription service which uses the StreamUK online video platform StreamMP.

Quinn became an increasingly valuable member of the LFC digital team as he coordinated all live and on-demand streaming content, encoding and delivery for the club’s online premium video offering, which currently boasts a significantly larger number of paid subscribers than any other football club in the world.

This year both Quinn and StreamUK CEO Duncan Burbidge were praised for their work in the online video space as they ranked within the Top 50 Online Video Professionals by VOD Professional Magazine, with Matthew Quinn also representing the only football club in the shortlist.

Matthew Quinn’s appointment to the StreamUK team looks to strengthen its goal of becoming the preferred online video provider for a number of high profile sports content owners.

Duncan Burbidge said: “We’re very excited to be working with Matthew.  It gives us genuine insight into what a football club needs from its multimedia.”

Quinn will be working at the new StreamUK Salford office in Manchester which is opening at the end of the summer.

Speaking of his appointment, Quinn said: "Having worked with the team at StreamUK for the past year I'm very excited about joining and helping grow its sports portfolio.

“I look forward to using my experience at the top level of football media to help them continue in their success but also to help grow the success of other sporting institutions."
