fcbusiness becomes official media partner of the League Medical Association

Mon 30th Jul 2012 | Marketing & PR

fcbusiness is proud to announce it has become an official media partner of the League Medical Association.

The League Medical Association (LMedA) is the representative body for all medical, science and exercise personnel in professional league football in the UK. The partnership will see LMedA provide content in fcbusiness focussed specifically on the medical and sports science sectors within football.

Eamonn Salmon, director of the LMedA said of the partnership: “Since inception just over 12 months ago, LMedA has continued to grow in terms of members, stature and recognition and has successfully developed commercial and business interests along the way.

“In complimenting this success we are delighted to join forces with fcbusiness and look forward to developing our media interests in what will be a mutually successful media partnership.”

Medical provision to professional football clubs has made an enormous leap over the last decade and the quality and excellence of medical care is now amongst the best in the world.

In providing such high standards there has been a huge increase in the number of medical personnel employed, directly or indirectly by football clubs to provide this care. LMedA members include such diverse specialities as Physiotherapists, Doctors, Surgeons, Podiatrists, Sports psychologists, Sports scientists, fitness trainers and masseurs and (indirectly) Acupuncturists, Nutrionists, Osteopaths, Dentists, Opticians and Orthotists.

fcbusiness editor, Ryan McKnight said: “We are very pleased to be partnering with the League Medical Association.

“This is a new and progressive organisation aimed at ensuring the highest quality care is provided to its many members in a way the LMA does for football league managers.

“By working in partnership, we will be able to ensure best practice is shared at all levels of the game for the benefit of everyone.”

The partnership will see LMedA contribute to fcbusiness magazine from September in a series of comment pieces and feature regularly on our website news section www.fcbusiness.co.uk
