StreamUK becomes a Football Business Awards Sponsor

Wed 1st Aug 2012 | Football Industry Events

The online media solutions provider StreamUK has furthered its association with the football business industry by sponsoring the ‘Non-Premier League Commercial Team of the Year’ category at this year’s inaugural Football Business Awards.

Last year StreamUK revamped Liverpool FC’s online video offering LFC.tv as the company aligned its online video platform StreamMP with some of the world’s most competitive football clubs. This year Liverpool FC claimed that its online video offering was the most successful online video subscription service of any football club in the world.

StreamUK CEO Duncan Burbidge said, “We are proud to be sponsoring the ‘Non-Premier League Commercial Team’ category, as we have seen some great ambitions realised by non-Premier League clubs through commercial and digital work. It’s essential that the top clubs pursue best practice and we applaud great commercial efforts that enhance fan engagement”.

The deal sees StreamUK joining other leading industry names including the Football Foundation, Kit Bag, Arena Seating and FC Business, as key partners for the event which will be hosted at Chelsea FC this November.

Awards organiser, Simon Burton said, “We are delighted to have StreamUK involved with the Football Business Awards this year. The company has been applauded hugely for its work in football so it’s great to have them sponsoring a category that celebrates innovation and commercial success.”

Burton continued, “The interest from clubs at every level in the UK and beyond, as well as from businesses serving football has been inspiring. Our judges, media partners and entrants are of the highest calibre and our partnership with StreamUK reflects our aspirations for the awards.”
