Manchester City Launch City Kicks For Young Fans

Budding football fans are set to be welcomed into the Manchester City Football Club fold with a brand new interactive membership scheme, offering children unrivalled access to players and bringing them closer to the club than ever before.

City Kicks aims to excite and entertain a broad range of young fans from under 5s, 6-11s and 12-16s from across the UK, via a dedicated members-only website, designed especially for them.

For an annual £20 membership fee, www.mcfc.co.uk/citykicks will feature exclusive content for different age groups. This will include club news, match reports, games, puzzles, competitions, exclusive videos, nutritional advice and educational tasks such as printable colouring activities, art and writing competitions. All of these will be personalised to ensure the website grows and matures with its members.

City’s defender and Academy graduate Micah Richards, is the City Kicks Ambassador and has his very own ‘Micah’s Corner’ section of the website, commented on the launch, stating: “I’m thrilled to be involved in this new City Kicks junior membership. I know from my personal experiences as a 14-year-old youth squad player how inspiring it is for young fans to be made to feel a part of this great club from an early age.”

Julian Pate, Head of Marketing at Manchester City, said: “City Kicks is about bringing young fans into the heart of Manchester City Football Club.  The membership scheme has been designed to give kids unrivalled access to their favourite players, club news, games, educational material and more.  We’re excited about the journey the club is on and we want to make sure our young fans feel part of it.”

Fans enrolled in City Kicks will also have access to content from the club mascots, Moonchester and Moonbeam, as well as potential City stars of tomorrow from the Club’s Elite Development Squad.

Members will, in addition get invitations to one-off City Kicks events at the Etihad Stadium in the heart Manchester.

City Kicks is the new Blue, Gold and Platinum Membership for under 16’s.  New City Kicks fans can sign-up for a seven-day free trial of the website or full membership from: www.mcfc.co.uk/citykicks.
