Working as the prestigious General/Company Secretary of the County FA, Roger will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the company, which includes the governance team, football development team, marketing and communications department and SoccerScene Leagues.

Sheffield & Hallamshire FA Chairman Brian Jones said: “I am delighted to have been able to offer Roger the position of General/Company Secretary and that he has accepted.

“There is no doubt that he is a true football person who has a fantastic enthusiasm for the game at all levels and will bring a breath of fresh air into the company.

“The experience and his professional qualifications will be of great benefit to the company and to the footballing community within our County and I am thoroughly looking forward to working with him.”

Roger said: "I am very pleased to confirm that I have accepted an offer to become General/Company Secretary at Sheffield & Hallamshire FA.

“I have always been passionate about football and have a healthy background in working in South Yorkshire, both within the professional game and the amateur game of football and I am really looking forward to extending my involvement as part of my new role.

“Sheffield & Hallamshire FA is regarded as one of the best County Football Associations in the country and has terrific plans to develop even more opportunities in South Yorkshire in the near future.

“I am genuinely delighted to have been given the chance to take up this terrific opportunity."
