Blue Square Bet Becomes Betting Partner of Absolute Radio

In a deal conceived by Carat Sponsorship, online betting and sports betting service - Blue Square Bet, will be partnering with Absolute Radio in a 9 month, six figure sponsorship deal for their Saturday mid-morning show with Mark Crossley.

The tie-up will last for the duration of the 2012/2013 football season and will focus on pre-game betting and the opportunity to discuss live odds on-air and online.

From 10.30am-1.30pm every Saturday, Mark Crossley will drive an in-show feature to promote Blue Square Bet live odds.  The betting brands very own Alan Alger will call into Mark’s show each week to discuss the days betting and live odds from the biggest games including Absolute Radio’s featured Barclays Premier League commentary fixture with Jim Proudfoot at 3pm.

Sponsor credits will run in Crossley’s show to compliment network wide promotional trails while the partnership will be supported by online activity, including a dedicated micro-site at www.absoluteradio.co.uk. Messaging will drive Blue Square Bet’s strap line ‘Enough Said. Just Bet’ and will encourage fans to enjoy Blue Square Bet online, via tablet or on their mobiles at bluesq.com and to join in the debate on twitter with their  #nonsenseinfootball hashtag.

Jonathan Sykes, Marketing Manager for Blue Square Bet, commented, “This exciting new partnership between Blue Square Bet and Absolute Radio heralds an exciting time for both brands. The Absolute Radio brand has established a strong identity of entertaining football fans every Saturday.

The deal was negotiated by Julia Fitzgerald at Carat Sponsorship and Carly Lucas at Absolute Radio and will begin on Saturday 18th August 2012.
