Tottenham launch new strip with FIFA 13

Thu 30th Aug 2012 | Marketing & PR

As Premier League clubs try and outdo each other for the most novel way to launch their new kits, Tottenham have raised the bar considerably with a cool tie-in with eagerly-anticipated video game FIFA 13.

Spurs have teamed up with game developer EA Sports to unveil their new black and grey third kit while at the same time giving fans a sneak preview of the latest edition of the long-running FIFA series.

The Under Armour strip features grey and black halves with a yellow strip on the sleeves and collar. The kit makers claim the 'ultra-lightweight fabric balances durability, breathability and mobility.'

The black shorts and socks also feature the yellow edging, with the Spurs cockerel logo prominent.

The video shows an exact simulation of White Hart Lane, which was dropped from FIFA 12 but is to be restored on the new version, released on September 28.

It features Spurs favourites Gareth Bale, Jermain Defoe, Emmanuel Adebayor and Brad Friedel in a match against Manchester City and concludes with Defoe scoring a screamer past Joe Hart from 25 yards.

Watch the launch video for the new Spurs third kit.
