Soccerex partners with Freestyle Football Federation

Fri 7th Sep 2012 | Football Industry Events

Soccerex has announced an official partnership with the Freestyle Football Federation (F3).

The agreement comes with freestyle football entertainment having played a part in Soccerex events for many years. The new freestyle partnership will take effect across all Soccerex events throughout the year, recognising the emergence of freestyle football.

F3 was established in early 2011 to provide structure and support to this previously underground element of football and promote it as a healthy lifestyle choice for young people. With the slogan ‘all you need is a ball’, F3 now has members in 82 countries and has established the official World Freestyle Football Championships, World Rankings system and World Freestyle Day amongst many other initiatives.

F3 president, Dan Wood, said: “For us this is a significant milestone. To get freestyle football acknowledged in its own right on such a prestigious global stage is fantastic. The Soccerex Global Convention is where the commercial world of football meets and is the perfect platform to grow awareness of our spart (sport and art). By the end of 2012 we will have real participation figures for the first time and a host of commercially viable events where brands can engage with new fans in an exciting and active way.”

Soccerex will continue to feature freestyle performers at all of its events. F3 will also support Soccerex with engaging content and insight into street football around the globe.
