S&C Slatter Install 3G Artificial Grass Pitch Facility

The ground has been broken at the start of a highly prestigious sports pitch project for Hampton School.

The project development team of the school selected S&C Slatter to work with them to develop an artificial grass pitch solution that meets their sporting and recreational criteria.

The completed facility will form one of the single largest 3G Turf areas in the country. Hampton School are a leading independent, renowned for the sporting and academic excellence.

S&C Slatter has been engaged to deliver all the works associated with the construction of a new 3G Turf pitch. The new facility, measuring in at some 12,500m2, will provide match play and training for both football and rugby. In addition, the contracted works include natural turf improvements to existing football pitches, relocation and reconstruction of high quality cricket squares and an artificial turf cricket match pitch.

The contract works will total c.£850,000 and will be delivered with S&C Slatter in-house resource and contract management expertise.

A vital aspect of the project’s realisation has been a comprehensive and detailed design and planning support service offered by S&C Slatter. In providing clients with a comprehensive, professional and experienced service of design, planning, construction and maintenance, the company continues to set the standard for sports pitch construction.

The sports provision at Hampton School is first class; the ongoing development strategy for the school’s facilities required a new 3G artificial turf facility for football and rugby. S&C Slatter designed a high quality system, including the GreenFields XQ Elite 3G Turf product. This innovative and market leading artificial grass provides a ‘one turf’ solution that delivers certified performance for FIFA 1&2-star and IRB regulation 22.
