StreamUK win prestigious online video award

Thu 18th Oct 2012 | IT & Technology

The online video and streaming specialist StreamUK won a prestigious digital media award on Tuesday, at the annual Streaming Media Europe forum in London.

The Streaming Media Reader’s Choice Awards received over 14,000 votes from the public, who ranked StreamUK’s StreamConnect as the best webcasting platform.

Streaming Media Event Director and Editor Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen, said: “Each year, these awards give us insight into which companies, products, and services are gaining market share and which ones are fading from use, because they’re decided by the people in the trenches: the readers of Streaming Media magazine who use these technologies day in and day out.

“We get vendor briefings and product demos all the time, but our readers really get a sense of what tools and technologies help them do their job better.”

StreamUK’s award win comes at a great time, as the company awaits other award announcements such as the 2012 Football Business Awards, where StreamUK has been shortlisted for three awards covering social media features, innovative technology and the best business serving football over 2m turnover. The inaugural FB Awards will be taking place at the home of Chelsea FC, Stamford Bridge on 8th November 2012.
