Exhibitors Rush To Soccerex Global Convention Exhibition

Tue 6th Nov 2012 | Football Industry Events

Soccerex have confirmed that there are only four exhibition spaces remaining at this year’s Soccerex Global Convention taking place in Rio de Janeiro on 24-28 November.

Regarded as the leading exhibition in the world of football business, this year the Global Convention has attracted some of the biggest names in the industry including FIFA, adidas, Aggreko International, CVC, Spanish FA, Huggity, Phillips, Fluminense Football Club, Turkish Football Federation, Honda, Boca Juniors, Forbes Hare, Arjo Wiggins, Rapiscan Systems, Vasco de Gama, UK Trade & Investment, Mamelodi Sundowns, Golden Goal Sports Ventures LDA, RT Prosport and many more.

The 3,000sq feet exhibition will look to surpass the £250 million worth of business generated through last year’s Convention and will be a focal point for the majority of delegates in attendance.

Daniel Paiser, Soccerex Sales Director, said: “There has been an overwhelming demand for space at this year’s Convention which has stemmed from the positive experiences of past participants and the global recognition of the Soccerex brand.

“This year will see an even greater footprint of international exhibitors and sponsors who are participating. We’re delighted with the continued growth during our third year in Brazil and look forward to providing all of our exhibitors with a first-class account management service during the show, which will allow them to generate business as a result.”

The Soccerex Global Convention is a five-day business event consisting of a comprehensive seminar line-up, a number of networking opportunities, a two-day football festival and a packed exhibition which is already close to selling out.

Held in a purpose-built venue within the Forte de Copacabana, with panoramic views of both the famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, the exhibition is a hub for business activity; as one of the main components of the convention it provides a platform for leading suppliers from around the world to showcase the latest industry products and services to delegates.

Soccerex will also deliver a world class conference programme which will feature an exclusive 1-2-1 session with FIFA General Secretary Jérôme Valcke, a groundbreaking session on ‘Player Ownership and Transfers’ involving Pini Zahavi, a unique session on Goal Line technology, bringing together all of the key stakeholders, including the two licensed technologies chosen by FIFA, a special legends discussion with Sir Bobby Charlton and Carlos Alberto Torres and many more.
