Kitbag announces Robbie Savage as it's first UK Brand Ambassador

Online sports retailer Kitbag, has announced that former Welsh international footballer Robbie Savage will be its first UK brand ambassador.

Robbie, currently a football pundit for 606 on Radio 5 live, has signed a one year agreement to be the face of Kitbag and will feature in the brand’s latest PR campaign for Christmas gift ideas. 

Over the next year, Robbie will be reviewing the latest products for the website, taking part in a number of live Q&A sessions and hosting exclusive events for Kitbag customers. With over one million followers on Twitter, Kitbag are hoping to utilise Robbie’s widespread fan base to attract a broader audience outside the traditional sports sphere.

Robbie Savage added: ‘I am really excited to be working with Kitbag and it feels like an obvious partnership for me given my background as a professional sportsman. As a former footballer and a father of young children I take a great interest in the latest sports products on the market and also keep my eye on sporting fashion trends, so Kitbag caters for both me and my family.’

Kitbag now operates the retail business and online stores for a number of leading sports brands including Barcelona, Chelsea, Formula 1, Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Wimbledon, The NBA, The NFL and The Ryder Cup.

Kitbag.com relaunched at the end of July with a new look, a new logo design and product ranges that cater for both sports enthusiasts and fashion-conscious shoppers.
