Aldershot Town FC Appoint Chief Executive

Aldershot Town Football Club have confirmed the appointment of Andrew Mills as Chief Executive.

Andrew has worked in the sports industry for over 20 years and has experience in a variety of disciplines within the game. He served in a similar position at Brentford between 2008 and 2011 and has also been the General Manager at Charlton Athletic.

He will officially start his new role on 1st February.

Looking forward to a new challenge within football Andrew said, “Having met the Board of Directors and Chairman over the past few days its clear there is no lack of want or intent to progress the Football Club through the tough economic challenges currently facing all Football League Clubs.

“With this in mind I look forward to working with the dedicated team of staff and volunteers who continue to show their commitment to doing just that and progressing the Football Club both on and off the pitch”  

Chairman Kris Machala added, “I would like to welcome Andrew to the club. This is an important appointment and we are delighted to acquire the services of somebody with such an extensive experience within the game.”

It is also confirmed that after advising the Board of Directors behind the scenes it has been agreed that Peter Duffy has also been appointed as Advisor to the Board with immediate effect. Peter previously served during a successful period as Chief Executive for two years through to the end of 2011.
