Announcing the Football Business Awards 2013

fcbusiness are proud to announce that we will once again be an official media partner to the Football Business Awards for 2013.

Now in their second year the Football Business Awards are designed to celebrate excellence and acknowledge success in the business of football. The Awards recognise the essential role that business plays in football, the positive impact of football on the community and vital role played by the businesses which serve the game.

The inaugural event in 2012 attracted 450 senior representatives from clubs and business working in football – not just from the UK but around the world. This year’s awards ceremony will once again be a glittering gala dinner hosted by Chelsea FC, one of South West London's most prestigious venues. We anticipate an audience of over 500 will attend what promises to be a thoroughly rewarding and enjoyable occasion for all who attend.

For 2013 we have once again gathered together an esteemed panel of judges including CEO's from some of the most respected football clubs in the UK

Last year saw the introduction of one of the football industry’s most prestigious awards – the fcbusiness Football CEO of the Year award, which was won by Karren Brady for her excellent work at West Ham.

There will be various award categories covering the full range of businesses involved in serving the industry. The categories range from best club marketing campaign, best use of technology through to best club community scheme. (See below for award categories from 2012)

New voting system for Football CEO of the Year award

  • A new CEO’s CEO will be implemented for 2013.
  • The CEO’s of the top 100 football clubs across the UK will get to vote for the winner.
  • We will give each CEO a chance to vote for their top 3 CEO's - then the voting is based on a point system, they give 3 points to their top, 2 points to their second and 1 point to their third choice.
  • The top 5 CEO’s with the most votes will make the shortlist and the one with the most votes become the winner.

 

Award Categories
