ADI’s Live Venue™ Shortlisted For Top Award

ADI’s ground-breaking Live Venue™ broadcast platform has been shortlisted in TheStadiumBusiness Awards 2013. Nominated in the category of Product Innovation, Live Venue™ is the most advanced technology to ever empower sport broadcast.

Providing clubs, rights-holders and federations with the future-proof infrastructure to create and deliver multi-media fan engagement on a global scale, Live Venue™ can help establish new international markets and grow support bases the world over. ADI are in excellent company in the Product Innovation category - up against the likes of NCR and Extricom - with some incredible technologies and cutting-edge stadium solutions from across the world competing for the award.

Live Venue™ is currently used by football clubs across the English Premier League and Championship, including Everton FC, Sunderland AFC and Cardiff City FC. Built on a dedicated, ultra-fast fibre optic network, venues can utilise ADI’s state-of-the-art galleries rather than having to invest in an on-site production facility, which may only be used 20-30 days of the year. This means Live Venue™ offers a completely future-proof and cost-effective solution for the delivery of content within and beyond a venue, while providing a solid foundation for connectivity, consistency and content across every aspect of communication.

With super-fast links between ADI’s galleries and stadiums, broadcasters and BT Tower, content can be distributed at the speed of light around the world just as easily as it can be delivered around a venue. Content can also be instantly re-purposed for multiple uses – whether it’s TV programming for distribution through international broadcasters or delivering content direct to fans’ computers, tablets and other mobile devices using the latest streaming technologies. This means the value of content can be maximised and monetised, while providing fans with the instant, high-quality engagement that they expect, wherever they are in the world.

There’s also the ability to broadcast multiple HD channels across different platforms and specific areas of a venue, which can be seen at Everton’s Goodison Park where three live channels of matchday programming are broadcast to fans across the stadium bowl, concourse and hospitality lounges. This allows the club and its commercial partners to deliver targeted communications to fans throughout their stadium experience. 

ADI launched a range of new Live Venue™ services at the Soccerex European Forum in Manchester earlier in the month. These include Virtual Studio – which creates broadcast quality programming at lower cost – and Digital Asset Management, which makes media secure and available on demand with advanced meta-tagging.

Winners of TheStadiumBusiness Awards will be announced on the 6th June at The Point @ Emirates Old Trafford Stadium, Lancashire County Cricket Club’s state-of-the-art events venue.
