MLS To Speak at The Sports CRM Summit

This year's Sports CRM Summit will feature a stellar line-up of keynote speakers following the addition of Major League Soccer (MLS) to the agenda.  

Headquartered in New York City, Charlie Sung Shin, CRM & Fan Engagement Leader at Major League Soccer will provide delegates with insight into how MLS has built up their fan base and increased engagement through the utilisation of their database and a strong digital strategy.

He'll outline the unique strategic approach that they've undertaken to centralise their infrastructure and establish an efficient single view of fans. By putting insight and CRM into the heart of their approach, MLS's centralised data warehouse and analytic tool has allowed them to deploy tactics which have led to increased data growth, fan engagement and revenues.

Prior to joining MLS, Charlie was a senior business consultant with PWC Consulting and OpenTide for 6 years where he managed various projects involving CRM strategy, customer segmentation modelling, loyalty programs and campaign management. He has also taught "Database marketing in the sports industry" for NYU's Sports Business program.

The Sports CRM Summit 2013:

The Summit will be held at IBM South Bank in London on Monday 20th May. A host of leading sports brands will be speaking about their own CRM experiences and strategies, including; British Cycling, Silverstone, Galatasaray SK, Swindon Town FC, Leicester Tigers Rugby Football Club and British Athletics. IBM will be giving some best practice insights into social media and analytics and interactive sessions will be hosted by industry experts on a range of CRM related topics.
