FA Chairman to address Supporters Summit

Mon 3rd Jun 2013 | Football Industry Events

Chair of The FA, David Bernstein has confirmed he is to address the FSF/Supporters Direct Supporters’ Summit on the 22nd of June at The FA’s training base at Burton-Upon-Trent.

The Supporters Summit is a joint event by Supporters Direct (SD) and the Football Supporters Federation (FSF) aimed at bringing supporters together to discuss the challenging issues facing the industry.

On announcing the news of his attendance, David Bernstein said, “Supporters are one of the vital parts that makes our national game what it is, and I am pleased to have been given the opportunity to be part of this event at The FA’s new national training base – especially in The FA’s 150th year.

“I look forward to meeting and talking with delegates and representatives on the day.”

David Lampitt, Chief Executive of SD said, “I’m delighted that David Bernstein has committed to attend our joint event with the FSF and we’re grateful to him for hosting us at St George’s Park.

“There is still much to do to improve the governance and regulation of our national game and it will be great for fans to have the opportunity to meet, speak to and ask questions of The FA’s Chairman.

“The event is already going to be the best attended conference we’ve ever held outside of London, and demand for spaces at the Summit is limited so we would encourage supporters to register as soon as possible.”

Kevin Miles, Chief Executive of the FSF, added, “The FSF welcomes the opportunity to work with Supporters Direct to tackle the issues that affect fans.

“This is the time for supporters to get involved and help shape current and future campaigns. The Supporters Summit offers a unique stage for fans to come together, share ideas and change things for the better.”

Tickets for the event are available from only £15 and include a free tour of St George’s Park.
