Tottenham Hotspur To Attend Licensing Expo 2013

Fri 7th Jun 2013 | Marketing & PR

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is looking to build on the success of its global licensing programme at the Licensing Expo 2013 in Las Vegas on June 18, 19 and 20.

The Premier League club will be exhibiting at the event, at Booth D22, for the first time having developed a portfolio of over 40 licensees worldwide across a range of product categories.

Gary Jacobson, Brand Licensing Manager, Tottenham Hotspur, said: “Our involvement at Licensing Expo 2013 highlights the importance Tottenham Hotspur are placing on the area of licensing and meeting an increased demand for Club products.

“We hope to use this fantastic opportunity to meet with potential new international licensees and display the benefits that we can provide to those who come on board with us.”

Tottenham, who have a strong network of UK licensees which benefit from access to the Club’s traditional fanbase at home, will promote the greater opportunities for overseas licensees to engage with its growing global following, particularly in the US.

After a successful pre-season tour last summer, a technical partnership with sportswear giants Under Armour and a squad of players including the likes of Gareth Bale, has led to the number of new supporters clubs in the country more than doubling over the past year.

With increased media exposure, set to be heightened by a new Premier League deal with NBC, and constant engagement with US fans through Club social media channels, potential new licensees will benefit stateside from coming on board with Tottenham Hotspur.

This has already been shown through the Club’s recent deal with US sports retail giant Sports Endeavors Inc, who have developed a successful range of bespoke Spurs apparel and gifts.
