Ashton Gate Redevelopment Consultation Dates Announced

Plans for the redevelopment of Bristol City’s home ground, Ashton Gate Stadium will go on show to the public on June 25th and 26th.
The £40m redevelopment was revealed earlier this year as plans to move to a new stadium at Ashton Vale looked increasingly less likely. Members of the Project Development Team will be on hand at the two-day consultation event to explain the proposals and answer questions.
Ashton Gate development director Guy Price, said: "Since the announcement earlier this year, we have consulted widely with our supporters, many interested parties and our neighbours.
"We are now ready to present the proposals to the public and I encourage everybody to use this opportunity to give us your comments and feedback."
The public consultation displays will be in the AMC Communications Lounge at Ashton Gate and will be open at the following times:
Tuesday, June 25th: 12noon-9pm
Wednesday, June 26th: 10am-7pm
In February, Bristol Sport Limited (BSL) announced its intention to consider the redevelopment of the stadium as an alternative to moving to a new purpose built stadium at Ashton Vale.
The newly-redeveloped multi-purpose stadium would be used by Bristol City FC and Bristol Rugby, both of whom are overseen by BSL.
Both the Ashton Gate and Ashton Vale projects are running side-by-side, giving BSL the opportunity to select the most viable option.
