Dundee United Extends Tickets.com Partnership

Tickets.com, the industry leading provider of global ticketing and marketing solutions, has been selected as the official ticketing provider to the Scottish Premiership’s Dundee United FC.
The decision was made following a stringent tender process, as part of which a team from Tickets.com was invited to visit Tannadice Park, the home of Dundee United, and pitch their solution to club officials.
Following the successful selection of Tickets.com the club has introduced ProVenueMax™ as its platform for supporting all ticketing requirements, starting with ticket office and online season ticket renewals for the upcoming season. The system is also being used to process retail sales, with the intention of supporting additional commercial activities including hospitality sales in the near future.
Commenting on the new partnership, club secretary Spence Anderson said: “Our decision to choose Tickets.com was based on a number of factors; their response to the requirements of our tender and performance throughout the process was excellent, proposing a very good value ticketing solution that ticked all the boxes.
“Tickets.com also came highly recommended from their existing clients that we spoke to, feedback that we valued greatly and significantly contributed to our final decision.”
In support of the company’s reputation amongst its client base of more than 300 UK sport, arts and entertainment venues, Tickets.com recently retained its four star Service Desk Institute (SDI) accreditation, recording an improved score for the second consecutive year of 3.94 out of 4.
Tickets.com remains the only ticketing focused organisation to have full SDI accreditation.
Spence Anderson added: “The support, guidance and levels of customer service that we have received from Tickets.com have been exceptional. We have found the team to be very attentive and having already implemented the new system for season ticket renewals, we are very pleased with the processes now in place.”
The announcement confirms Dundee United as the third professional football club in Scotland to partner with Tickets.com, alongside Championship neighbours Dundee FC and fellow Premiership side Aberdeen, who also introduced ProVenueMax™ in time for its 2013/14 season ticket renewals this summer.
Tickets.com also works with English Premiership sides including Capital One Cup winners Swansea FC, Southampton FC and Europa League winners Chelsea, alongside a host of Football League clubs.
Giles Bayliss, business development manager for Tickets.com, led on the response to the tender and worked alongside Dundee United to determine the best solution to meet its ticketing requirements.
As part of the dedicated account management support provided to all Tickets.com clients, Giles recently visited the club in time to see the implementation of the new system: “The advanced levels of functionality and flexibility provided through ProVenueMax™ means users are in complete control of their ticketing operation and by working with Spence and his team, we were very confident that this would be the right solution for the club.
“Feedback has already been very positive, not only of the system but of the support that our training and customer service teams have provided, ensuring that Dundee United staff have the know-how and understanding to utilise the many features and capabilities available with ProVenueMax™.”
