Fri 26th Jul 2013 | Football Club Management

Brighton & Hove Albion FC are currently recruiting a number of positions for the women’s team.

As founder members of the Football Association (FA) Women's Premier League they remain one of the highest league placed team in Sussex.

The Women's first team will again compete in the FA Women's Premier League (FAWPL) Southern Division which includes; Colchester United, Keynsham, Gillingham, Millwall, Plymouth Argyle, Portsmouth, Queens Park Rangers, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.

The Reserves earned promotion last season and this year compete in the FAWPL Reserve League Southern Division 1 which includes; Arsenal, Bristol Academy, Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, Gillingham, Watford and West Ham United.

Underpinning the Women's senior programme is the club's Centre of Excellence which is one of only 30 FA accredited programmes in the country, and the only FA Licensed Centre within Sussex.

The Centre of Excellence provides training opportunities for elite female players aged 8-17-years-old, and has teams at U11s, U13s, U15s and U17s level that compete in the London and South East Centre of Excellence fixture programme, alongside Arsenal, Chelsea, Colchester United, Gillingham, Middlesex, Millwall & Lewisham and Norwich City.

Graduates of the girls' Centre of Excellence are offered a pathway into further education through an academy programme provided by Worthing College. Training and competition provided within the academy will allow members of the U17s side to continue building their knowledge of the game through increased training hours.

To support Albion's community ethos the club also provides playing opportunities for players of all levels of ability, through its community women's team - back to back promotions means the team will this year compete in the South East Counties League Premier Divisio
