Aldershot Town Appoint New Head of Media

Aldershot Town have appointed Steve Gibbs as the club’s new Head of Media, as preparations for the 2013-14 season continue.
Steve’s appointment follows Graham Brookland’s decision to stand down last month following the club’s recent brush with administration.
A fan of The Shots for over 25 years, Steve was previously Media Manager during the 2010-11 season and has been a familiar face at the EBB Stadium in his role as summariser with BBC Surrey for the past 7 years.
Steve said: “I’m delighted and very excited to take on this role, and to be able to serve the Club again.
“It’s a great challenge to communicate the name of Aldershot Town Football Club to as many people as possible, and to convey to them the passion that I feel for this Club.
“Graham Brookland did a fantastic job as Head of Media, and I hope to build on his good work in the future.”
Aldershot Town Chairman, Shahid Azeem, said: “One of Steve's key roles will be to ensure regular and consistent communication between the Club and all of its stakeholders. Steve has strong knowledge of the Club and will be a great asset to us.
“We, the board, would also like to place on record our appreciation of Graham Brookland's contribution during his time in the role. Graham is a great ambassador for Aldershot Town and we hope he will continue to be involved with the Club in the future"
