Football Blogging Awards Finalists Announced

The finalists have been drawn for the Football Blogging Awards and voting in the shortlist stage has kicked off. 

The annual event which celebrates the talents of online journalists and bloggers has already taken over 10,000 votes at the half time mark.

The 2013 awards ceremony will be held at the prestigious National Football Museum in central Manchester on the evening of 21st November. Natalie Pike, FHM High Street Honey winner and football presenter will play referee on the night to over 200 football writers.

Legendary footballer Mike Summerbee and BBC Sport Editor, Howard Nurse have confirmed their attendance and tickets are available through general sale now.

The Awards night will recognise 11 blogger’s achievements with prizes up for grabs in the following Male, Female, New, Established, Podcast, Video, Club, Non-League, Comedy, Fantasy Football and Gambling categories.

Some of the star players that stand a chance of winning a Football Blogging Award include Republik of Mancunia, Arseblog, KSI, Betfair and Hayley McQueen's The Offside Rule.

The voting for the awards is completely transparent as the awards are selected solely on the public vote and through innovative methods on social networks.

The social networks that people can vote on include Facebook, Twitter and Sportlobster allowing people from around the world to interact and engage with the awards and vote for their ‘Champions League’ blogs.
