TradePoint And Football League Hammer Out New Deal

Thu 21st Nov 2013 | Football Sponsorship

TradePoint, the 'trade' brand of the UK's largest home improvement retailer B&Q, has become the first ever Official Trade Supplier to The Football League in a brand new partnership.

The new agreement will see all 72 Football League clubs join TradePoint's membership scheme, which gives businesses discounted prices on TradePoint's vast range of building and home improvement products.

TradePoint, the local building suppliers, will also become the title partner of The Football League Radio Show, the weekly round-up of news, views and comment from across all three divisions of the Sky Bet Football League hosted by Mark Clemmit.

The Football League's Chief Commercial Officer, Richard Heaselgrave, said: "I am delighted to welcome TradePoint to this new partnership with The Football League. It gives each of our clubs the opportunity to save thousands of pounds on the cost of maintaining their stadium or training ground.

"This agreement breaks new ground for The Football League and TradePoint and we look forward to it being a fruitful collaboration for both parties."

Finally, the new agreement will also see TradePoint sponsor The Football League's Academy series of best practice seminars. The TradePoint Academy Series aims to improve the business performance of each Football League club through a series of thought-provoking seminars on relevant football industry topics.

Trevor Culpin, Customer & Marketing Manager for TradePoint, said: "We are delighted to be involved with The Football League in this way and especially by helping clubs to improve their facilities and maintain their grounds.

"We hope to be able to save their maintenance teams both time and money by giving them access to the 12,000 plus products available through TradePoint, and look forward to developing our partnership in other areas, too."
