HTC Launches New Footballfeed App

Tue 26th Nov 2013 | IT & Technology

HTC is creating a brand new experience for fans of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League action with its HTC FootballFeed application for Android.

As the Official Smartphone of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, the new app brings in the latest stats the second they arrive, in a customisable format and slick design for the ultimate fan experience.

Research shows that technology is now a key part of the football experience, with up to 83% of fans using a second screen while watching the big game. The HTC FootballFeed app takes that experience to the next level, providing a host of features developed to spark and drive conversation between football fans in stadiums, at home and across the world:

  • News articles
  • Latest standings
  • Details on all upcoming matches
  • A rolling live feed for each match, presenting key moments
  • Detailed commentary
  • Easily accessible information on all competing clubs and players
  • Incredible photography galleries
  • Exclusive HTC promotions and competitions

The app also allows fans to insert notifications for matches into their smartphone’s calendar so they can be sure to never miss out.  It makes the perfect companion for any fan, from researching an upcoming opponent to checking out the latest scores.

Philip Blair, President of EMEA at HTC, said: “The new HTC FootballFeed app is designed to enrich and enhance fans’ experience of the sport they love – whether during the game itself, in the build-up or during the post-match discussion.

“Following football is about so much more than just checking scores, and so we’ve created an app that’s a 360° view of everything that matters to fans – and because no two are the same, we’ve made it the kind of smart and customisable experience that delivers the information you care about, whenever you need it.”

The HTC FootballFeed app can be downloaded from today November from the Google Play store, free of charge.
