Campaign Makes Sunderland Fans Club Legends

Sunderland fans are being immortalised as part of a unique season ticket campaign.
Fans attending Saturday’s game against Crystal Palace will notice something different about the Stadium of Light.
The stadium’s East Stand will be adorned by a huge sign proclaiming it the ‘Brian Graham Stand’ along with the hashtag #SAFCLegends.
Brian Graham is a long-standing loyal season card holder who was selected as part of a new campaign by the club.
The club's season card drive for the 2014-15 campaign is based around the concept of immortalising the supporters in the same way that players throughout the club’s history have passed into legend.
Taking inspiration from the Bob Stokoe statue outside the Stadium of Light, the season card material sent to fans features images of supporters immortalised as stylised statues around the Stadium of Light.
Each season card booklet was also personalised to each fan, allowing them to see their own name on the East Stand roof, overlooking the pitch.
The club’s commercial director, Gary Hutchinson, said: “Our supporters truly are legends and this is something we wanted to reflect in our latest season card campaign.
“We are extremely fortunate to have support of such calibre and this campaign immortalises them in the same way as players, placing them in their rightful role at the very centre of the club.
“We’ve been delighted with the reception the campaign has received and are excited to be able to offer season cards at reduced prices, with every season card holder paying less next season regardless of where in the ground they sit.”
