Slick Seating rebranded as GL Events Seating and Stadia by GL Events UK Group

Mon 17th Mar 2014 | Marketing & PR

Slick Seating will get a fresh new look in 2014 when, after two years since its purchase by GL events, it is rebranded as GL events Seating and Stadia. The name change comes as the GL events UK Group repositions its offering to those customers who are looking for a total solution for their event’s infrastructure and development.

Scott Hayward, Managing Director of GL events UK Group, explains: “Under the ownership of GL events, Slick Seating has grown considerably – both in its capabilities and its products. The company is now in a very strong position when it comes to supplying event seating and the re-development of stadiums . The standard of our seating solutions combined with the expertise of the team has become a valuable asset when it comes to offering clients a complete package for their event.

“We can manufacture, hire and sell all forms of tiered seating - from 100 seater grandstands for a smaller sporting events to a bespoke tiered seating stand for events of all shapes and sizes, both indoor and outdoor. Our sports portfolio this year has included major events such as the Lawn Tennis Association’s Aegon Classic at Edgbaston, the Open Golf Championship at Muirfield, and the AJ Bell World Squash Championship. Stadia re-development in particular is an area where we have excelled, this year we designed and constructed the new East Stand at Barnet FC’s ground, and work is now underway constructing new stands at both Borehamwood FC and Watford FC.”

The new brand will sit under the recently formed GL events UK Group umbrella along with the well-established brands Owen Brown and Snowdens. Scott added: “We have a considerable number of clients that now engage with several of our brands as we can provide a complete package for their events. Using the umbrella brand of GL events Group UK allows us clarity in our proposition as a ‘one-stop-shop while still recognising the roots of our business with the well known names of Owen Brown and Snowdens.”

GL events UK Group has the diversity to supply marquees, temporary structures, tiered seating and semi-permanent buildings for every application, this enables us to truly offer a cost-effective stadium construction solution, our temporary buildings can act as hospitality and retail areas if required. With an extensive product range and over 300 years combined experience; GL events UK Group can offer a specialist solution for every event and commercial requirement.
