Stamford Secure New Stadium Sponsor

Thu 20th Mar 2014 | Football Sponsorship

Stamford AFC have secured Zeeco Europe Ltd as stadium sponsors at their new Borderville ground.

Zeeco have agreed an initial two-year deal with the Daniels which has been hailed as a truly exciting development by both parties.

Announcing the deal, Stamford commercial manager, Paul Pepper commented, "I am delighted and proud that we will have this partnership with Zeeco and look forward to working with them at such an exciting time."

A world leader in combustion equipment for the refining, petrochemical production, power and pharmaceutical industries, Zeeco Europe’s managing director, Nigel Palfreeman quickly underlined both personal pride and professional commitment for the link.

"I have lived in Stamford for 25 years and love the town from where I have grown our business,” said Nigel.

“I am thrilled that we will be working with the club as they begin this exciting new chapter in their history. It's going to be an awesome new stadium - exactly what town and community need.

"Where ever possible we look to use local suppliers and employ local people," he emphasised. "This partnership will involve us more closely with an important community activity."

Nigel also expressed his delight over the way Stamford have created a youth development policy. Having already sponsored shirts for the club's under 15s, run by Richard Bayley, Zeeco make no secret of their commitment to youth.

"We feel very strongly about that area," continued Nigel. "Taking on apprentices and launching graduate schemes have been a key aspect of people development as the company expands."

Stamford Devlopment Board member Guy Walton concluded: "Zeeco and Stamford AFC benefit from community minded foundations. They understand the importance of nurturing talent and people within our organisations. We welcome them to the Daniels' family."
