Kick It Out & Investec Launch Working Partnership

Mon 24th Mar 2014 | Marketing & PR

Kick It Out, football’s equality and inclusion campaign, and Investec, one of the world’s leading specialist banks and asset managers, have announced a new working partnership.

The partnership will see Investec assist in the delivery of Kick It Out’s ongoing projects over the next two years which specifically focus on educating and supporting the next generation.

Investec has several existing partnerships in sport such as the Investec Derby, Test Cricket in England and Great Britain women's hockey, and an extensive range of charitable partners and outreach programmes designed to benefit the communities and environments in which they operate.

One of the key Kick It Out initiatives that Investec will be supporting is the annual ‘Raise Your Game’ conference, taking place on 16 April at Wembley Stadium, which gives aspiring individuals looking to break into the football industry the opportunity to meet leading figureheads within the game.

Investec will also back further initiatives being run by Kick It Out as part of its inaugural ‘Season of Action’, launched in July 2013, to mark 20 years of campaigning to eradicate discrimination across all levels of football.

This includes Kick It Out’s ‘Next 20’ programme, which sees 20 young football stars across the Premier League, Football League and Women’s Super League (WSL) raising awareness of the organisation by engaging with the younger members of their local community.

Lord Herman Ouseley, Chair of Kick It Out, said: “Kick It Out is delighted to have Investec supporting its ongoing partnership work to free football from all forms of discrimination. Investec’s resources and knowledge of sport, charity and education will be invaluable to our organisation.”

Bernard Kantor, Investec’s Managing Director, added: “Investec is committed to fighting discrimination in all walks of life. Kick It Out is successfully helping to make football a more positive and inclusive environment and Investec is proud to play a key role and to support the further development of this very important campaign.”
