First Digital Sport Manchester event w/ BBC Sport, Man City, deltatre, Everton, British Cycling & more

Fri 4th Apr 2014 | Football Industry Events

In just over 2 weeks the UK Sports Network will be hosting its first ever UK Digital Sport event in the North West, at TechHub Manchester.

It will be a half day event that brings together digital marketers, tech leaders and comms professionals from all around the area.

The event will cover a number of issues that affect digital marketing in the Sports industry and you'll be able to listen to and question the speakers as the day goes by.  So what can you expect?

Jeff McCarthy, Senior Lecturer (Digital Marketing) at Manchester Metropolitan University will be sharing his views on digital disruption in sport. Susan Tranter will be sharing her experiences of working in digital at British Cycling before Phil Daly (Leeds Rugby), Chris Hurst (BBC Sport) and Stuart MacLean (Same Old Ltd) hold a panel session on engaging sports fans through meaningful social media content.

And that is only half the day.  There will also be talks from Matthew Quinn (Stream UK), Hugo Sharman (deltatre) and Peter Kawalek (Capsool) before the day finishes up with a final panel session that contains Mike Dunphy (Man City), Scott McLeod (Everton) and Russell Stopford (Perform) where they'll be investigating the impact of mobile on the sports industry.

It's a fantastic line-up and it all takes place on Thursday 17th April from 12.30pm. There is still space at the TechHub Manchester venue and you can book on for only £50 (£25 for students) + booking fee.

Details for booking are on https://digitalsportmanchester.eventbrite.co.uk
