Soccerex and Major Events International Renew Commercial Partnership

Thu 29th May 2014 | Football Industry Events

Soccerex, the global leader for the business of football, have confirmed the renewal of its commercial partnership with Major Events International (MEI), for the Soccerex Global Convention 2014 in Manchester, 6-10 September.

The partnership will see Soccerex welcome MEI, who once again will be playing a major presence through exhibiting and supporting their client companies, at football’s largest B2B event.

MEI will be lending its huge expertise within the major events sector and promoting the vast benefits of attending the Global Convention to their dedicated major events audience.

Soccerex will be looking to strengthen their already established position within this field and will work closely with MEI to bring together key stakeholders involved in upcoming major tournaments including federations, LOCs, stadia decision makers, club owners and many more.

David Wright, Marketing Director at Soccerex, said: “Major football tournaments and their associated industries are a key focus at the Soccerex Global Convention and Major Events International provides that link and support for companies who recognise the commercial opportunities available through large-scale events.

“I am sure MEI’s extensive experience and awareness will be of interest to many of our delegates at Soccerex; we’re delighted to have MEI on board as official commercial supporter.”

Commenting on the relationship with Soccerex, MEI’s CEO Dennis Mills said: “We are very proud of our ongoing collaboration with Soccerex and are looking forward to the very positive changes made for Manchester post Brazil.

“With opportunities to share an MEI stand, match our clients to the most appropriate speaking and sponsorship opportunities, and the formal re-launch of our revised membership scheme to coincide with Soccerex in September, we look forward to a very busy conference and expo in a new exciting era in Manchester.”

In 2014, after traveling across five continents over the last 13 years, the Soccerex Global Convention is returning to Manchester, the city of its birth, on 6-10 September 2014.

The conference agenda will provide programmes of dedicated content tailored specifically for Performance, Stadia, Commercial and Finance & Law departments of football clubs and the companies they engage with. The event also includes a two-day Football Festival, an exhibition and unrivalled networking opportunities.
