Walsall Launch 1888 Club Lounge

Mon 2nd Jun 2014 | Football Stadiums & Facilities

Bringing the current season and the celebrations of the 125 Anniversary ends, a lasting legacy to Walsall Football Club will be launched at Banks’s Stadium.

The 1888 Club will be an exclusive and prestigious new hospitality lounge which will replace the existing Swift’s Club. Making the area twice as large and creating at least 10 jobs, the 1888 Club is a major move forward for the League One club.

Commercial Manager, Nina Best, said today:“There are not many clubs in our league who provide the level and quality of what we hope to achieve with the 1888 Club.

“We are basing the facility on something you may expect to find at a Championship level club – we are raising our aspirations both on and off the field.”

The 1888 Club aims to offer award-winning hospitality in a unique space designed for business contact and networking - brought together with a passion for the beautiful game.

Work has already begun on transforming the space and it will be open for prospective members to view by the middle of June. The Club will have an enviable pitch view, along with a bar, five LED television screens, full air-conditioning and free wi-fi.

Nina added:“The 1888 Club is a chance for supporters and businesses to be a part of something really special here at Walsall Football Club.

“We are hoping to welcome between 80 -100 new members for the inaugural Season who will benefit from being part of such a unique club – whether to watch the game in style, to meet fellow business contacts or just to kick back and unwind.”
