‘Macarooney’ To Support Street League

Tue 3rd Jun 2014 | Marketing & PR

A catchy new England World Cup song has been recorded to raise funds for Street League, the national charity which uses football to tackle youth unemployment.

Written and produced by two artists who call themselves D&OD, the MACAROONEY is a parody of one of the world’s most popular songs. For every download of the song, Street League will receive a minimum of 30 pence.

To help get it to NUMBER ONE…

Street League uses the power of football to engage with unemployed young people across the UK. The national charity provides an award-winning eight-week Academy programme which develops key employability skills, such as teamwork and communication, along with CV-writing, mock interview and job-search sessions. On the programme, participants earn a series of nationally-recognised qualifications, and get to play football every day!

Based in towns and cities across the UK, an amazing 81% of graduates from the Street League Academy programme move into employment, education and training.

COME ON ENGLAND. YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO...

“MACAROONEY is a masterpiece. It's surely the greatest unofficial England World Cup song for Brazil 2014. Mind you, have you heard the other rubbish that's out there?” Clive, Wandsworth
