SBOBET tackle fan engagement at Soccerex Asian Forum

Wed 12th May 2010 | Football Industry Events

After securing the title sponsorship for the Soccerex Asian Forum (28-29 July, Singapore), SBOBET's Executive Director, Bill Mummery will join MP & Silva and a major sports broadcaster to discuss the role betting and broadcasting play in Asia's rapidly growing sports business industry.

Despite betting regulations in certain Asian countries, online betting organisations play an important part in the football experience of many Asian-based fans. The developments in internet gambling and round-the-clock broadcasting of live European football have helped further the appeal of the sport in this football-mad region.

Bill Mummery (Executive Director, SBOBET) will speak alongside other key industry figures at this two day football business Forum, including:

* Mohamed bin Hammam (President, AFC)

* Worawi Makudi (President, Thailand FA)

* David Dein (former Arsenal FC Vice-Chairman & International President of England 2018)

* Gerard Houllier (Technical Director, French Football Federation)

* Begoña Sanz (Deputy Sales & Marketing Managing Director, Real Madrid CF)

* Albert Capellas (Senior Youth Coordinator, FC Barcelona)

* Fernando de Matos (Director Sponsorships & Alliances, VISA International Asia Pacific Region)

* Andrea Radrizzani (Group CEO, MP & Silva)

* Sergi Vieta (Director of Football, Media Sports Marketing)

* Jon Collins (CEO, Football Asia)

* Ossie Ardiles (Argentinean FIFA World Cup winner)

* Phil Thompson (England International and former Liverpool FC player)

The Soccerex Asian Forum (28-29 July, Singapore) will take place in the biggest football market in the world and will enable an exchange of ideas between the West and the East and allow partnerships to be forged between European and Asian football rights holders and businesses. For further information about this event please visit www.soccerex.com/asia or call +44 (0)208742 7100.
