Armagard Presents Stadium AV Solutions Ready for Kick-Off

Mon 4th Aug 2014 | IT & Technology

Audio visual protection specialists, Armagard, has announced the availability of their fully weatherproof generation of outdoor enclosures for football stadium communication.

Armagard makes the announcement ahead of the new English domestic league season, with the Sky Bet Football League campaign kicking off on the 9th of August and the Barclays Premier League starting on the 16th of August, 2014.

An Armagard spokesperson said:“As the new season draws closer clubs will be making final stadium preparations. Many grounds will be undergoing refurbishment and installing brand new AV equipment such as digital screens. Other clubs will be looking to protect existing AV apparatus.”

They continued: “Our current generation of weatherproof, fully outdoor, AV protection enclosures are designed to withstand the rigours of football stadium installation. They safeguard LCD and LED screens against rain, sleet, snow, ice and sunlight exposure for up to 10 years or more. They are an easy to maintain, cost-effective, AV equipment defence system.”

Armagard’s outdoor LCD and LED enclosures protect screens from 19” to 72”.

“The major benefit of Armagard solutions is that they allow clubs to continually drive sales and add to their revenue streams on match days. Signage can be positioned strategically to advertise club merchandise or display menus for food outlets. Essentially, clubs have a striking advertising platform for every game of the season for 10 seasons or more.”

Armagard is no stranger to AV equipment protection for football stadiums, supplying a total of 485 units for the Euro 2012 tournament in Poland and Ukraine. Stadium builders required protection for screens used for advertising, menu boards and information points and Armagard duly obliged with a range of 42” and 52” outdoor digital signage enclosures.

During the championships, stadiums were able to influence half time food sales and sales of football paraphernalia. Throughout the tournament, because of the protective capabilities of the units, screen advertising was constant. Each enclosure delivered a fantastic return on investment.

The weatherproof range, now available for football stadium installation, can accommodate screen sizes between 19” and 72”. The units can be supplied as standard, or completely customised to suit the aesthetics and demands of any football ground.

Another huge benefit is the multiple mounting options. Units can be ceiling, wall or stand mounted in locations throughout the stadium, capturing maximum audience attention. Screens are mounted within an enclosure using a unique VESA mounting system.
