High5itApp Teams Up With Football Supporters’ Federation

Fri 15th Aug 2014 | Marketing & PR

New football app High5it and The Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF), one of Europe’s leading bodies for football fans, have announced a partnership that aims to give fans a greater voice in the sport, promote positivity, and celebrate everything good about the beautiful game.

Set for release on 11th September, users of the High5it App will be able to follow, interact with, and appreciate great play in a way that is truly recognised. Developed by fans for fans, it will be available as a free download and works in real-time with live match data, allowing users to get the latest news from games, interact with friends and share their thoughts on great play. This is an app that focuses on the positive.

Sharing the common goals of giving fans a greater voice, promoting respect and fair play, and increasing positivity in football, the FSF, who lead the successful Away Fans Matter and Watching Football Is Not A Crime! campaigns, will support and promote High5it via its national network of 500,000 individual and affiliated members. In turn, High5it has agreed a season long commitment to funding FSF led initiatives and co-promotion of the FSF within the app.

Ian Evatt, High5it Director of Football, said: “Football fans are the lifeblood of the game, whether supporting junior, local or professional teams. In the age of social media the High5it App will give real fans a new voice and the unique chance to spread positivity, where its digital immediacy feels like they’re almost in the dressing room with their heroes.”

Kevin Miles, FSF Chief Executive, said: “We’re delighted to announce our partnership with High5it which fits perfectly with the FSF’s aims of giving dedicated fans a voice within the game. New technology that echoes that desire to promote greater respect in football, increase fan participation and improve interaction, is an open goal for our members to support.”
