Russian Minister of Sport To Give Opening Speech At World Football Forum

The Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation, Vitaly Mutko has been confirmed to deliver the opening speech of the World Football Forum, Russia's biggest football industry event.

Mr. Mutko has been long been in the higher echelons of sport in Russia and the world, having included in his resume the presidency of FC Zenit St. Petersburg and the Russian Football Union. His achievements in these roles allowed him to reach the peak of not only international Sport, as a member of the FIFA Executive Committee, but also national, having been the Minister of Sport since 2008.

Under his guidance, Russia and it's sporting prowess, in particular its organisation of sports biggest events, has grown immensely. In his tenure, Russia has hosted the UEFA Champions League Final in 2008, the Sochi Winter Olympics in 2014 and are the hosts of the next FIFA World Cup in 2018.

From the opening speech by the Minister of Sport to the last session with the digital marketing great, Oscar Ugaz, the World Football Forum will be packed with the the industry's big hitters.

The World Football Forum has a varied programme covering all aspects of the current issues in the industry. Sessions include insights into the experiences of the previous World Cup in Brazil from LOC 'Brazil-2014' CEO, Ricardo Trade and word from LOC 'Russia 2018' CEO, Aleksey Sorokin, on the progress of Russia's organisation of the biggest event in football. There will also be a session focusing on stadiums for 2018 with Arena 2018 and leading stadium design and engineering firms joining the panel.

Other session topics include stadium and event security from  World Football Forum's lead sponsor, ICSS and UEFA Financial fair Play rules with Pedro Pinto, UEFA Chief Press Officer. The Final session will discuss how football can learn from other sports with Helios Partners CEO, Chris Renner.
