Everton Embarks On Emotive Season Ticket Campaign

Wed 4th Mar 2015 | Marketing & PR

Everton has embarked on its biggest and most important sales drive of the year with a clever and emotive marketing campaign which has already proved a huge hit with fans.

The Club launched its heartfelt 2015/16 Season Ticket campaign entitled ‘We Are Chosen’ in late February, drawing inspiration from the Club’s mantra “Evertonians are born not manufactured. We do not choose, we are chosen.”

The previous year’s campaign achieved record-breaking sales of Season Tickets with over 4,000 new Season Ticket holders extending the number of fans with Season Tickets to almost 30,000.

This year’s campaign brings the verse to life and attributes meaning to the words using powerful imagery and a film which has already reached almost two and half million people.

The film, which is the centre piece of the campaign, shows a cross-demographic of Evertonians from bump to adult through the juxtapostition of real life experiences. The video also incorporates a behind the scenes look at the Club.

Richard Kenyon, Director of Marketing and Communications at Everton, said: “I believe ‘We Are Chosen’ to be our strongest Season Ticket campaign of recent years. The feedback so far shows that we have made a real impact with our fans, through using messages and imagery that they can all identify with.

“The campaign is designed to make Evertonians proud to be Blue and to show that being a supporter of this Club isn’t just about coming to matches, it’s an important part of everyday life. The feedback we are getting suggests we are achieving that,” added Richard.
