Tue 5th May 2015 | Football Industry Events

Soccerex have announced a new partnership with La Liga which kicked off at the Soccerex Asian Forum, 3-4 May, and will run up until the Soccerex Global Convention in Manchester on 7-9 September.

As part of the deal, La Liga will have exclusive naming rights to the Soccerex VIP Lounge which will be named the La Liga Lounge at both events.  The deal will also involve the participation of a senior delegation from the league, in both Asia and Manchester, who will be presenting a panel and a workshop.

La Liga’s involvement at the Soccerex Asian Forum, which was held on Sunday, saw the league’s General Director for Middle East & North Africa President, Fernando Sanz and Mario Bayarri, MediaPro’s Vice President for Asia and Middle East, presenting on a panel titled ‘Establishing a League’.

Sanz presented alongside David Dein, former Arsenal & FA Vice Chairman and founding member of the English Premier League and Dr. Adel Ezzat, Managing and Marketing Director, Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ), sponsors of Saudi Arabia Football League, dissecting the key elements of establishing and growing a successful league including building attendances, sponsorship and broadcast deals as well as international growth.

La Liga’s delegation at the Asian Forum, led by Sanz, also featured Sergi Torrents, the league’s Country Manager. La Liga President Javier Tebas will be leading the league’s delegation for the Global Convention.

Soccerex CEO Duncan Revie commented, “We are thrilled to have agreed this partnership with La Liga, a league that has given so much joy to football fans worldwide, and an institution that is continually opening up commercial opportunities across the football world.

“It is an honour to once again host President Tebas at Soccerex and we are delighted to welcome such a senior delegation from the league, who will be featuring prominently at both our Asian Forum and the Soccerex Global Convention.”
