PES2015 Advertised On Socks Of La Liga Players

La Liga and Sockatyes announced an agreement that for the last six matchdays of the season, the logo of videogame Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 (PES2015) will be on the socks worn by 14 Liga BBVA clubs.

La Liga’s General Director of Marketing and Sales, Adolfo Bara Negro, said: “The fact a global brand such as Konami has decided to use the method until the end of the season shows that we have taken the correct decision partnering with Sockatyes.”

Director of Konami, Erik Bladinieres, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity with a potential global reach of more than 800 million people, given the international presence of La Liga and its worldwide expansion.”

Last September La Liga signed an agreement with Sockatyes to incorporate advertising on the players’ socks. The product is an elastic strip that supports the upper part of the sock and is attached to a sheet in which advertising messages can be placed. It is the first time that this has been done in professional football.

La Liga opted to partner with Konami despite interest from other multinationals.
