12BET Becomes Official Betting Partner of Swansea City

12BET have confirmed its Official Betting Partner agreement with Swansea City AFC.

The deal will see 12BET have a strong advertising presence around the Liberty stadium.

The sports betting company  have a strong track record in top flight football having previously been shirt sponsors of LA Liga outfit Sevilla, Wigan Athletic and Hull City FC, as well as previously having partnerships with Newcastle and Crystal Palace. 

Rory Anderson, 12BET CEO commented, ‘We have wanted to work with Swansea for some time now.  It’s a well-run club and the Commercial team there has really taken on board what we are trying to achieve with this sponsorship. 

“Between the club and ourselves, we have come up with some innovative ways to make this partnership stand out.” 

Swansea City’s Vice-Chairman and Commercial Director, Leigh Dineen, said: “We are delighted to team up with 12BET for the first time.

 “They are an established global company that has built up an excellent reputation within the football fraternity in recent years.

“There are already some exciting projects in the pipeline as part of their Official Betting Partnership and we are looking forward to working with everyone at 12BET over the course of the campaign.’’ 

Jack to a King

A delegation from Swansea City will fly out to the US next week for the premiere of the film, Jack to a King which will open the New York K+S film festival.

Jack to a King: The Swansea Story has been selected to open this year’s Kicking and Screening Soccer Film Festival at The Tribeca Cinemas in downtown New York on Tuesday 23rd June 2015.

‘Jack to a King’ charts the story of Swansea City Football Club. Sold for just £1 in 2001 and rumoured to be £4 million in debt, the club was saved by a rag tag group of builders, teachers and travel agents who came together to save their football club and who 10 years later found themselves in the Royal Box at Wembley Stadium in the Play Off Final, the £90 Million game.

Making the trip from Swansea to this ‘Red Carpet’, New York Premiere will be a number of those who lived this ‘fairy tale’ story and who feature in the film. 

Following the New York Premiere the ‘Swansea Party’ will head to Washington for a special screening at the British Embassy. 

Swansea City Vice Chairman, Leigh Dineen, said: “After the reaction the film got when we linked-up live to Portland on the west coast, I cannot wait for soccer fans in New York and Washington to see our story.

“Jack to a King is a real life rags to riches tale of fans coming together to save our club. 12 years later that journey has taken us from rock bottom to the height of the Premier League.”

Executive Producer, Mal Pope: "The film is like UNDER MILKWOOD meets GLADIATOR. The scale is enormous because at the end it's Wembley with 90,000 supporters and you're in the tunnel going out into battle. 

“But it starts with all these local people talking very funnily and passionately about their club and why they did what they did at the time."

Oscar-winning co-producer, James Marsh, added: “The re-birth of a neglected, provincial football club into genuine Premier League contenders is both a romantic modern day fairytale and a gripping thriller of a story.

“It's a remarkable and surprising tale which will make for an irresistible, highly emotional film that will appeal to anyone who's ever rooted for the underdog.”
