HOST CITY 2015: New Topics and Speakers Announced

Final agenda and new speakers revealed for HOST CITY 2015 conference and exhibition. 

Major new themes have been added to the HOST CITY 2015 agenda, with a rapidly growing line-up of speakers exploring vital event bidding and hosting topics in Glasgow on 9th and 10th of November.

More than 50 leading cities and more than 50 cross-sector rights holders are already set to attend HOST CITY 2015, which addresses the critical issues and opportunities they face.

Session themes include “Live Entertainment in the City”, “Creative Marketing through Events, Brands and Media” and “Football in Europe’s Cities”. Delegates will be able contribute to roundtable discussions on Sports Events; Capitals of Culture; and Global Cities.

Recently confirmed speakers for HOST CITY 2015 include:

Sir Craig Reedie, Vice President, IOC

Marisol Casado, President and IOC Member, International Triathlon Union

They join a growing stellar line-up of influential figures that have already confirmed their intention to speak, including: Dimitri Kerkentes, Chief of Staff, BIE (World Expos); Dame Tessa Jowell; Louise Martin, Honorary Secretary General, Commonwealth Games Federation; Alexander Koch, Corporate Communications Manager, FIFA; Panos Protopsaltis, Director of Transport, Baku 2015; Peter Tindemans, Secretary General, Euroscience; Mike Lee, Chairman of Vero Communications; Daniel Cordey, Chairman of the Association of Global Event Suppliers.

These speakers will be joined by leading figures from the world’s greatest cities –

including Rio, Tokyo and Beijing – and entertainment and cultural events including the MTV EMA awards and European Capital of Culture.

HOST CITY is set to become the world’s largest international forum where global decision makers for event destination markets, international federations, event owners and rights holders, and suppliers can connect, create new business opportunities, generate media attention and foster new working partnerships across sporting, cultural and business sectors.
