Vialli & Tifosy Highlight Support For Fanfunding At Soccerex

Mon 6th Jul 2015 | Football Industry Events

The ‘12th Man of Football Finance’ will be unveiled at this year’s Soccerex Global Convention, 7-9 September in Manchester.

The crowd funding specialists Tifosy confirmed today that they will be delivering an insightful and thought provoking workshop on the future of football financing.

Featuring CEO Fausto Zanetton along with co-founder and brand ambassador Gianluca Vialli will touch upon previous campaigns, including helping Portsmouth Football Club. Tifosy successfully raised £270,000, the largest football crowdfunding project in the UK, to build two new pitches for their academy, as well as how the company aims to revolutionise the way football clubs are funded.

Fanfunding is emerging as a key revenue generator for a number of rightsholders who don’t have the advantage of a wealthy benefactor or commercial partnerships to fund new infrastructure projects. Leading the way in this ever expanding market is Tifosy, who provides a unique link between club and fans and enables everyone to invest in and support the football clubs that they love, in a fair and transparent way.

Juventus, Chelsea and Italy legend Vialli commented on his participation: “Fanfunding and the importance of clubs reconnecting with their fans are areas that I’m extremely passionate about and a key reason why I’m working with Tifosy.

“Having attended Soccerex last year with Tifosy I thought it was a fantastic event with a great mix of people from around the world, so I’m delighted to return and to be sharing the excellent vision of Tifosy with the global football family.”

Football finance and fan engagement, both on the match day and beyond, are core themes of this year’s Soccerex Global Convention, with the programme featuring content dedicated to the subject, including the likes of Twitter, APC Consulting, Facebook, Ooredoo, LawInSport, Paris St-Germain, SoLive and Mobile Media Content all confirmed to speak.

The Soccerex Global Convention brings together over 3000 of football’s elite over three days of a thought provoking conference programme packed with business insight, alongside a market-leading international exhibition and extensive networking.

A programme of social events completes the schedule for what is widely acknowledged as the world’s leading football business event.
